Stoneage Organics is a family business run by Keith Martin specializing in organically grown produce. Our first land (at Oake, near Taunton, Somerset) was converted to Soil Association symbol status in 1988. Since then, the rest of the farm has gradually been converted so that since 1st January 2001 it has been entirely organic. In addition to the farm in Oake, we also have a farm near Bishop's Lydeard which has been fully organic since 1st January 2001, giving us an approximate total of 70 acres. This is where the majority of the growing is now done. Each week we pack a selection of fresh, seasonal produce into three sizes of box. Potatoes and carrots appear virtually every week and onions most weeks. The remainder of the box is made up of various items depending on the time of year: for example, salad crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and peppers in summer, and greens and root crops in winter, such as cabbages, leeks, Brussels sprouts and swedes.
